It seems to me that spirit spamming is going to become the norm for almost all farming, i started messing about with my ritualist and it's great fun but i have noticed more and more there seems to be a boom in ritualist's being made :P
So far though i have not really found any place that is not farmable with my rit? or a couple of spirit spammers...

yep. there's not any.
shhhhhhhhh.
no, I'm kidding, I'm sure there are some zones. What just comes to mind: I doubt you can solo-farm RoT, Slavers, or Vloxen with this, just because of mob size and heavy enemy rez, but I cant say for sure because I havent tried. (Havent bothered taking mine through the desolation or very far into eotn yet.) but just about everywhere else, as far as I know, is spiritfood.

Had trouble with areas with heavy assassins/warriors, especially ones with knockdown (Jotun in EotN) awhile ago. But then again I hadn't really tried any build variation to combat them. Haven't been using my ritualist much recently (working on other chars).

Very possible,Spirit Spammers have an easy ride even with skelies, they normally die within 2 waves of attacks with painfull bond on them.

Sorry for bringing this topic up, but I have a question.
I don't have Nighfall so I can't get Vampirism.. (I only have factions & EOTN)
What skill should be able to replace it? Thnx in advance

don't want to disappoint you, but Vampirism is one of the key skills in the bar. with a sunspear rank of 7+ it is your strongest skill in your bar, it survives alot more than bloodsong etc. though if you'd really want to try without vampirism,
your best bet would probably be Gaze of Fury (crap, nightfall skill)
uhm..
then I'd go with destruction, then, put your spirits up like this.
------------------------------
_________enemy__________
____Bloodsong__( Vampirism )_
________Destruction_________
___________________________
___________________________
___________________________
____Signet of Spirits Pain______
________Shadowsong_________
-------------------------------
then hope the don't go for the destruction spirit, as its dmg decreases if it gets killed early (it gotta die for the damage to take place, but still try to delay that moment)
however, without vampirism you lose your self heal (don't overlook this, it can easily net you a +8-9 regen) and a attack that triggers painful bond less.
you could also go with agony, but that spirit just sucks.
what you also could do is go with binding chains
cast it on one of the foes (an Aatxe) so that one is snared (slowed down) by doing so, he stays back while the other aatxe will move at your spirits @ 100% speed, so all spirits will target him (because the other one isn't in your aggro yet) then your spirits kill 1 aatxe, after which the 2nd comes which your spirits can kill (even without vampirism)

I wanna try this build (I've never really done much high end farming), but i don't have EotN, which means no Spiritleech Aura, is that a detrimental part to the build? Is there something that can replace it? thanks

Spiritleech Aura helps you kill the smites, but you can kill them without it.
edit: Jan. 28 update buffed Reversal of Fortune to work against life steal. That's going to slow this build versus the Smites somewhat.

I was wondering what works the best for clearing all of UW. I know that I'll be using SoS, AoU, SLA, Bloodsong, Vamp and Shadowsong but I'm not sure what to use for the other 2 slots. I'm planning on doing this with my rit so what kinds of runes/insignias should I use so that Energy won't be a problem at all. The choices I was thinking for the 2 open slots were: BoC, Spirit Light, SS, Painful Bond and Pain.
Can anyone help me out?

I can't seem to kill the ataxxes in the chamber in NM! my spirits just die and i can't place new ones because of the recharge. I'm currently running E/Rt is this fine? got all the attributes in line with the pvx build etc just can't seem to kill them before spirits die Any tips? cheers.

Shadowsong should keep one blinded, and if it's at the back, the first should die before your spirits die. Have you checked your attributes are correct and are in NM? Also make sure you don't aggro more than one aatxe group at a time.

I dropped Spirit Leach Aura, it's the only resto skill, by doing that I could use the points more effectivly in Communing/Channeling.
As Long as you maintain Armor of Unfelling the spirits are fine in NM.
With the freed up spot I added Disenchantment. Difficult on Energy (High energy set anyone?) so I don't use it everytime but VERY useful in killing the smites, they go down ALOT quicker because Divine Intervention and Sheild of Judgement get removed.
tbh, I have more fun doing this Duo, you can take more stuff like, like wonderlust, earthbind, agony and anguish. Anguish + Painful Bond is real nice like.

I haven't tried it but replacing Spirit Leech Aura with Spirit Boon Strike seems reasonable now since the new update. I'm not sure if i should change Painful Bond with Lamentation though.

Yes. SoS is a bit weaker, but it doesn't change the functionality of the farm at all.

I'd keep Spiritleech Aura over Spirit Boon Strike because it saves you energy and it allows ur spirits to do armor ignoring damage. As for Lamentation, I'd still keep Painful Bond over it as it will do more damage then Lamentation would.
